Coordinating Conjunctions (คำสันธานที่เชื่อมข้อความที่เท่าเทียมกัน)
and	but	or	yet	for	nor	so
และ	แต่	หรือ	แม้กระนั้น	เพราะว่า	และ...ไม่	ดังนั้น
and = และ ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่คล้อยตามกันทำหน้าที่เชื่อมคำที่เป็นชนิดเดียวกันเช่นกริยากับกริยา คำนามกับคำนาม
but = แต่ ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่ขัดแย้งกัน
or= หรือ มิฉะนั้น ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่ให้เลือกเอาอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง
yet= แม้กระนั้น ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่ขัดแย้งกัน
so = ดังนั้น ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่แสดงความเป็นเหตุเป็นผลกัน
for= เพราะว่าใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่แสดงความเป็นเหตุเป็นผลกัน
nor = และ...ไม่  ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่คล้อยตามกัน

Subordinating Conjunctions (คำสันธานที่เชื่อมอนุประโยคเข้าด้วยกัน)
after หลังจาก		even if แม้ว่า		though แม้ว่า ถึงแม้ว่า
although แม้ว่า ถึงแม้ว่า		even though แม้ว่า ถึงแม้ว่า		till จนกระทั่ง
as เนี่องจาก		if ถ้า		unless ถ้า
as if ราวกับว่า		in order that เพื่อว่า		until จนกระทั่ง
as long as หากว่า ตราบใด		once เมื่อครั้งในอดีต		when เมื่อ
because เพราะว่า		since เนื่องจาก ตั้งแต่		whenever เมื่อไหร่ก็ตาม
before ก่อน		so that เพื่อที่จะ		where ที่ซึ่ง
		than กว่า		whereas ในขณะที่
				wherever ที่ไหนก็ตาม
				while ทั้งๆที่
Correlative Conjunctions (คำสันธานควบ)เป็นคำสันธานที่ใช้ควบคู่กัน
both . . . and		ทั้ง...และ
not only . . . but also		ไม่เพียงแต่.....ยังอีกด้วย
not . . . but		ไม่แต่
either . . . or		ไม่.....ก็
neither . . . nor		ไม่....และ
whether . . . or		หรือไม่
as . . . as		เท่ากับ
